This morning a song played from my randomized playlist. A song from the 1961 movie Hum Dono, Music by Jai Dev, Lyrics by Sahir Ludhiyanvi and beautifully rendered by the inimitable Mohammed Rafi.
And it got me thinking… Woww… This song IS the Art of Living!!
Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya,
Har Fikar Ko Dhuen Mein Udata Chala Gaya.
This is the Art of Living! Live Life to the FULLEST; 100%. Supporting LIFE and its diverse expression always! Breezing through all worries (Fikar) empowered with So What and So Hum!!
Barbadiyon Ka Shok Manana Fizul Tha,
Barbadiyon Ka Jashn Manata Chala Gaya.
It is pointless to feel guilt and regret over things that have not worked in the past! That is done! I learned from the past, rejoiced at the life lessons learned, and walked on! Empowered with the attitude that If it works, good; If it does not work, Very Good!!
Jo Mil Gaya Usi Ko Muqaddar Samajh Liya,
Jo Kho Gaya Mein Usko Bhulata Chala Gaya.
What ever I found in front of me, I treated it as… The Present Moment being Inevitable! Whatever I lost, I totally let it go! It was never meant to be.
Gham Aur Khushi Mein Farq Na Mehsoos Ho Jahan,
Mein Dil Ko Us Muqaam Pe Laata Chala Gaya.
I kept seeing no distinction between Sorrow (Gham) and Joy (Khushi). I brought my heart (Dil) to a state where I saw these two Opposites as Complementary. Which in-fact they are; without the other, the one looses value!
There is so much insight hidden in plain sight! I just have to shift my perspective a bit and BOOM! It hits me.
Liye Sapne Nighaon Mein,
Chala Hoon Teir Raahon Mein,
Zindagi… Aa Raha Hoon Mein!!
(This one we’ll look into another time…)
