For the past couple of days I had this tune stuck in my head. It was a song that my wife had sung on our home Karaoke system. A number she picked at random from the book of songs:
Kitna Haseen Hai Mausam,
Kitna Haseen Safar Hai,
Saathi Hai Khoobsurat,
Yeh Mausam Ko Bhi Khabar Hai!
Loosely translated…
How Beautiful is the weather,
How Beautiful is the Journey,
My Companion is Beautiful,
This the Weather also knows!
Think about this for a minute. Saathi Hai Khoobsurat, Yeh Mausam ko bhi Khabar Hai! The weather is adjusting itself to be Beautiful because of (my) beautiful Companion!! Woah!
The weather adjust itself. Does this mean that we are creating our own Reality?
Indeed, we do. And Quantum Mechanics seems to agree also. This is the famous Bohr-Einstein debate: If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear it, does it make a sound? The obvious answer is yes, but, in the realm of Quantum Physics, without an observer, all possibilities exist. This means that either the tree falls, or it does not fall, or it makes a sound or it is silent. And, everything in between! An observer collapses all these possibilities into an observable reality.
Without an observer, reality does not exist.
We’re creating our own Reality. All. The. Time.
Here is a radical thought: How about we make Inner Peace our Companion on our Journey? With Inner Peace as my Companion, more than just the Weather is likely to be Beautiful.
When it comes to Inner Peace, slow & steady does it. Today is good day to start.
