Rainbow: It’s Personal!!
Transcript:
Here's the thing about rainbows: Have you ever seen a rainbow which is at 30 degrees to you, or even 45 degrees to you? Never. Whenever you see a rainbow, you see it as a perfect semicircle—or however much of a semicircle or a circle it is. But it's straight on. It's face on. Nobody, absolutely nobody, has seen a rainbow that is not face on. What does that mean? If someone is 10 meters away and they see a rainbow, it is perfectly face on. You, which are 10 meters away from that other person, also see a perfectly face on rainbow. What does it mean? It means that each of us see our own unique rainbow. The two rainbows are not the same. The rainbow is created only for our viewing. It's beautiful physics. If you understand how rainbows are formed, you'll understand that every vantage point has its unique rainbow formation. It's pretty interesting.
