Purusha & Prakriti!
Transcript:
So, the Sankhya philosophy is a philosophy that goes to the root of how everything happens. Just like theoretical physics, they try to find out how everything began. So Sankhya's did the same thing. And according to the Sankhya philosophy, it eventually boils down to—the source boils down to—two entities. One entity they call the Purusha, and the other entity they call Prakriti.
And the Purusha has three qualities: eternal, unmanifest, and conscious. The Prakriti has three qualities also: eternal, manifest, and unconscious. So everything that we see around us is, by definition, manifest and, therefore, is part of Prakriti. But there is no consciousness because it's unconscious. Yet we feel the consciousness. How does this happen?
It happens by the reflection. The reflection of the Purusha onto the Prakriti leads to this illuminatory consciousness. It's kind of like this. [Music]
