Introduction to Sahaj Samadhi Meditation - Overcoming Jetlag- (Medication or Meditation)
Transcript:
Hi! So, a couple of days ago, I was on SQ22. This is the world's longest flight—19 hours—from Singapore to New York, New Jersey. And on the flight, I was talking to the stewardess, and I asked her, "What does she do to get over jet lag?" So she said they were taught some techniques as part of their stewardess training. And in addition, some of her colleagues also take some medication.
So I told her that, you know, I travel a lot too. In fact, I've been around the world three times—leaving from the West Coast of the United States, coming back to the East Coast—I've done it three times, and in all my travels, I never get jet lag. And she was shocked, saying, "How do you do that?"
So I shared with her, there's this technique called Sahaj Samadhi Meditation. I do this meditation twice on a 19-hour flight; I'll meditate twice. And when I land, I go home, take a shower, and I meditate again. And the trick is, for every hour of time zone change, if you meditate for 10 minutes, the body catches up. Now, this insight came from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who told Ronnie Newman, who told me, and I told her.
Now, she wants to learn to meditate. And so can you. Here's the upcoming course. Meditation over medication to get over jet lag. That's the smart way to doing it.
