India Institutes
Transcript:
So, is there a difference between "Institute of India" versus "Indian Institute of"? Normally, it's the same, except we've been conditioned in a different way. For example, you've never heard of "Technology Institute of India," or you've never heard of "Indian Institute of Film and Television." You've always heard it as "Indian Institute of Technology" and "Film and Television Institute of India." You see, and if you notice, "Indian Institute of" is usually a left-brain institution like IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), Indian Institute of Science, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). And all the right-brained cultural institutions are "Film and Television Institute of India," like this. It's a very clever way of naming institutions, which are both "Indian Institute of" and "Institute of India," national-level institutions. But the subtle naming differences are brilliant.
