So, it turns out that you can be fat and healthy at the same time. It's called Metabolically Healthy Obesity (M.H.O.). And this is a recent finding where there have been individuals with high body mass index (BMI). Now, BMI is not a good metric to measure how healthy you are, but anyway, if you take BMI as the metric, there are up to 60% adults that will score high on the BMI but they are metabolically active and healthy. This is pretty interesting.
So, BMI is not the catch-all. Other things, like your metabolic rate and where the fat is stored in your body, all of this makes a difference. So, don't get fixated on BMI, because there is such a thing as being fat and healthy at the same time.
