So, here are some actionable steps we can take to get out of these moods that we tend to find ourselves locked in.

For example, if you find yourself getting angry, then sing a song. The anger won't take hold. If you find that you're lazy, go take a cold shower. If you find that you're stressed, then do some exercise. If you find that you're sad, then invoke gratitude. But invoking gratitude is not all that easy, so go and do some service. Go and do some action to help someone else. Automatically, your sadness goes away.

If you're feeling anxious, then recognize the patterns in the breathing. If you just focus on the breath, the anxiety doesn't take a grip on us. If you're feeling impatient, recognize the progress that you have made. For this, you'll have to slow down and actively recognize the progress that has been made. If you tend to overthink, then start writing. The overthinking will go away and clarity of thought will come. Start writing.
